Michael Madden

Michael Madden is a specialist on North Korea and a leading authority on the country's leadership and political culture. He is the sole author and editor of the website NK Leadership Watch and the associate editor of The Journal of International Perspectives. From 2005 to 2011 he was a research assistant and administrator of the Inter-Cultural Studies Program at Charles University Prague, the Czech Republic and Suffolk University, Boston. His writing on North Korea has appeared in Foreign Policy, 38 North, NK News and Choson Exchange and he is currently working on three books about Kim Jong Il and the Kim Family. He has authored the following articles in KPA Journal,
